determining the best version of "breaking up is hard to do" is hard to do

I was inspired by own last post (I often self-muse) and investigated the different versions of Breaking Up Is Hard to Do. A cursory search revealed the following versions: 1 by The Partridge Family, 1 by The Carpenters, and of course, 1 by Neil Sedaka, who immortalized the song 1st as a an up tempo pop song, and then re-immortalized as a ballad.
